October 10, 2024 – The highly anticipated Italian spy drama Citadel: Diana, produced by Cattleya—part of ITV Studios— and Amazon MGM Studios, and executive produced by the Russo Brothers’ AGBO, has premiered on Prime Video, captivating audiences with its gripping blend of cloak-and-dagger intrigue, high-stakes drama, and thrilling action sequences. Perception, an Emmy-nominated design lab, collaborated with Amazon MGM Studios Italy to develop the concept, design, and animation for the advanced technology within Citadel: Diana’s futuristic world.

Renowned for its award-winning title sequences and expertise in developing cutting-edge technologies for blockbuster films and tech companies, Perception returns to the Citadel world after previously collaborating with Amazon MGM Studios and the Russo Brothers on Citadel (2023). They’ve also collaborated on Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014) and The Gray Man (2022).

In this year-long collaboration, Perception contributed nearly 400 shots to the series, with an average of 70 shots appearing in each episode. From handheld spy gadgets to large scale interfaces, Perception established the design language and technological climate of the Manticore organization.

The team at Perception, led by co-founders Danny Gonzalez and Jeremy Lasky, aimed to seamlessly blend storytelling with innovation when creating the series’ suite of technology. Their goal was to design an intuitive and visually stunning experience that enhances the audience’s connection to the narrative.
