February 14, 2025 – Captain America: Brave New World is officially premiering in cinemas worldwide, produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. Perception, an Emmy-nominated design lab, has collaborated with Marvel Studios to create the simple yet powerful Main on End title sequence for the highly anticipated fourth installment of the Captain America franchise.
Having collaborated closely with Marvel Studios on over 30 films and series, Perception has helped to build the look of iconic films like Iron Man 2 and Black Panther, while also crafting unforgettable title sequences for Avengers: Endgame, Moon Knight, and many more. The Perception team returns to the world of Captain America after previously collaborating on Captain America: The Winter Solider (2014), Captain America: Civil War (2016), and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier (2021).

Captain America: Brave New World marks a pivotal shift in the Captain America franchise, as Sam Wilson takes on the prestigious mantle of Captain America following Steve Rogers’ retirement in Avengers: Endgame. Perception cleverly captures the essence of this transition, incorporating Wilson’s dynamic and distinct character while still honoring the legacy of Captain America.
Integrating structured grids and flashing lights, the title design ties together the film’s main thematic elements– particularly mind control and the tension between the bold heroism of Sam Wilson and the villain’s structured power.

A moody and tension-filled beginning breaks into a lively light display brimming with energy. The graphic simplicity and the glowing, illuminated effect of rectangular lights create a hypnotizing rhythm throughout the sequence.
“A key design decision was to make the rectangles feel like they were “glowing from the inside,” giving them a sense of life and movement beyond just static shapes,” says Doug Appleton, Chief Creative Director at Perception. “We experimented with light temperature and focused a lot on the light’s behavior, ensuring that each flashing light felt organic and dynamic.”
The title sequence culminates in the dramatic emergence of the Captain America shield, as the grid structure collapses, symbolizing Sam Wilson’s transformation into the new Captain America.

Perception’s powerful Main on End title sequence can stand on its own as a visual representation of the film’s core themes while fitting seamlessly into the narrative of Captain America: Brave New World. The design pays homage to classic ’70s political thrillers and bold graphic title design sequences to craft something that feels both uplifting and hopeful— perfectly reflecting the spirit of this iconic hero.
“We are honored to collaborate with Marvel Studios and step back into the world of Captain America celebrating Sam Wilson’s unshakable heroism.” – Jeremy Lasky, Co-Founder of Perception
“It’s always an honor to collaborate with the Marvel team, but having the opportunity to work on a character I grew up with is truly special. Sometimes we fall into the world of wanting to use 3D to build these huge and wild sequences, but personally I find that the simple, elegant, and thoughtful sequences stand the test of time– just like Cap’s shield.” – Danny Gonzalez, Co-Founder of Perception
